Table format[edit]

Would anyone object if I edited the game results to beautify them and make them closer in format to 2006 FIFA World Cup? The downside is that it may take me (or others) a lot of time to look up this information, and I may run out of motivation anyway. :-) In the interest of maintaining the integrity of the look and feel I'll use this for my working copy until I have some logical unit (say the Hexagonal) finished. Of course anyone's invited to join in.

This is just copied from the 2006 finals page - incremental save to make sure I'm editing the proper format. PhilipR 02:13, 11 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

If you're willing, go for it! I'd recommend having a page for tests (/Layout, perhaps?) until the whole page is converted, and then we'll make the changes. It'd be weird to only have a few copied/converted Ian Manka Talk to me! 02:32, 11 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Well, truth be told, I'm likely to run out of steam really quickly -- but I'd like to start the task anyway, and put my intermediate product where others can play around with it. From elsewhere in Wikipedia it looks like 2006 FIFA World Cup (qualification CONCACAF)/Draft is a good place, so I'll put that as a staging area.
If I'm really ambitious I might write some Ruby code to make this text manipulation easier, but I'd best be careful before I promise anything.  ;-) - PhilipR 06:18, 11 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
