Re: Irrelevant "Hot Country Nights" submission[edit]

Today, I have had to twice revert the addition of Hot Country nights disc info, as submitted by an anonymous editor 65.144.117.36. The songs on this CD are of 1991-1992 era hits, and are irrelevant to a chronicle of 2006 in country music. Perhaps if there is a CD set on Hot Country Nights, then a separate article should be created containing info. on the album, and then a link to the article under the new albums section. Until then, this content is irrelevant and should remain out of the article. I have brought this discussion here to avoid a revert war. [[Briguy52748 16:49, 1 August 2006 (UTC)]][reply]

OK, is there a way to stop 65.144.117.36 from posting irrelevant posts in the "Top Hits of the Year" selection, or to give him some sort of warning to cease and desist or risk being blocked from editing? He has added several irrelevant posts on this page. I am requesting administrator assistance here; thanks! Other songs[edit]

Note: Even though they weren't Top 25 hits, I added "Not Ready to Make Nice" and "Drinkin' Me Lonely" to the Other songs list because those songs have their own dedicated pages. This is sort of an unofficial rule I'm establishing for the "OTher major hits" list -- the song must be Top 25 and/or have its own Wikipedia page. Not Important[edit]

"Drinkin' Me Lonely" - Chris Young (#42)

This song, like several other on the list that peaked in the 30's or even the 20's don't seem necessary.

Agreed. I think the "Other Major Hits" really ought to consist of Billboard #20 peaking songs and above. If there are songs that merit noting for other reasons (i.e. the controversy over "Not Ready to make Nice") they could be covered in another section. "Hits" is an objective word not a subjective one. If a song can't achieve a peak position of #20 or better, it's not a "major" hit no matter how "artistically good" a song may be in the poster's opinion. GBrady 19:14, 19 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
