Why the name change?[edit]

Someone had changed the name of this to European Grand Prix. Why? Cite a source, please. John Anderson 06:36, 15 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

OK, let's discuss this there. John Anderson 15:30, 15 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Raaaain[edit]

Folks, I hope you're taking notes, because I am already predicting an awesome featured article out of this race. ;) --Golbez 12:29, 22 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I love it when it rains. --Howard the Duck 16:16, 22 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Contraversal race[edit]

Contraversal race with it going over the 2 hour race limit. The red flag time does NOT stop the clock, according to the rules, however it seems as though it had. The first lap should've been aborted before it started and allowed ALL teams to change to wet tyres according to the rules. Why did it take so long for the red flag to appear after so approximately six cars find themselves off the track due to the terrible conditions?

Pebbens 17:59, 22 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The race can last longer than 2 hours if there is a red flag.
From Article 5 of the regulations: "The distance of all races, from the start signal to the chequered flag, shall be equal to the least number of complete laps which exceed a distance of 305 km (Monaco 260km). However, should two hours elapse before the scheduled race distance is completed, the leader will be shown the chequered flag when he crosses the control line (the Line) at the end of the lap during which the two hour period ended. However, should the race be suspended the length of the suspension will be added to this period." chem_tom 23:03, 22 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Pit Stops[edit]

The article says that there were 75 pit stops in the race. On http://www.fia.com/sport/Championships/F1/F1_Lap_Charts/Europe/2007.html I can count only 73 (unless I lost count!). Kimi entered the pits when he retired, but this is not shown on there, so that could count for one of the missing ones. chem_tom 16:03, 24 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

75 indeed.

1 - Button, Rosberg, Speed & Sutil
2 - Liuzzi, Raikkonen & Winkelhock
3 - Sato & Schumacher
4 - Alonso, Coulthard, Fisichella, Hamilton, Kovalainen, Kubica, Massa, Webber & Wurz
5 - Barrichello
6 - Davidson, Heidfeld & Trulli

4+6+6+36+5+18 = 75
