Conformity[edit]

Comedy240 tries to instate an artificial conformity to other poorly done and poorly sourced state gubernatorial election, 2007 wikis(ie Kentucky and Louisiana, both rated at start class, the second lowest class on Wikipedia's quality scale).

Mississippi gubernatorial election, 2007[edit]

The Mississippi gubernatorial election, 2007 was held on Tuesday, November 6th. Incumbent Haley Barbour was re-elected and will serve a four-year term as Governor of Mississippi from December 2007 through December 2011[1]. The Lieutenant Governor of Mississippi is also on the ballot and elected for the same time period.

Candidates[edit]

Republican[edit]

  • Haley Barbour - Incumbent Haley Barbour announced on February 8th, 2007, that he would seek a second term as Governor of Mississippi. He defeated Frederick Jones in the Republican primary on August 7th, and Democrat John Arthur Eaves, Jr. in the November general election. In a November 2006 poll by SurveyUSA, Barbour maintained a 59% approval rating and a +23% "net" approval rating.[2]

Democratic[edit]

  • John Arthur Eaves, Jr. - John Arthur Eaves, Jr., the born-again, pro-life trial lawyer won the Democratic primary on August 7th, 2007 defeating challengers William Compton, Fred Smith and Louis Fondren.
