Top Goalscorers[edit]

I update the Top Goalscorers section meticoulously (and even live sometimes - when a goal is scored). Please stop adding or subtracting goals plz (like in Fuster's case)! A few general notes on the issue:

The list of goalscorers should generally be taken from a reliable source which accurately lists the current/final standings; this is usually either a secondary source like Soccerway or another media outlet or an official list from the organizing body of the competition.
Regarding the number of listed scorers in general, please take a look at Wikipedia:WikiProject Football/League season#Top goalscorers. (Best ten (10) plus those with an equal number of goals as the tenth-best scorer) The only exception from this widely accepted consensus is for high-level continental tournaments for national teams, e.g. FIFA World Cup or UEFA Euro.
Lists of all scorers should be avoided because of two reasons: First of all, this would constitute a case of adding excessive statistics, which is not permitted per the content guideline WP:NOT#STATS. Further, excessive lists are rarely entirely sourced, which would be a problem under WP:V. Compiling such a list from single match reports is also not allowed, as this violates WP:SYN.
Live updates are usually discouraged, simply because a goalscorer might change, sometimes even during the match, in unclear cases.

As for the case of several Olympiakos players having subtracted some goals from their respective total – I would suspect that this was done by a fan of a rivalizing club; this occasionally happens and should just be reverted without much of a fuss. --Soccer-holic^{I hear voices in my head...} 19:54, 14 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding Olympiakos Volou and Kavala's relegation due to Koriopolis[edit]

The only source i could find was this one: [1]

It just says "regelation is unavoidable" for those two. Nothing is official yet, and i think we should wait for a more official announcement. Besides, i couldn't cross check that source. Kosm1fent (talk) 17:30, 26 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
