Club 12[edit]

Jmorrisson wrote "rm speculative part; clarify why "club 12" term is used": Club 12 is the official term being used to describe the team that will take the place of Rangers FC, whether that will be The Rangers FC (newco), Dundee or Dunfermline still remains unclear.

In a related move, I have temporarily replaced "Club 12" with "TBD" in the results section for now. The reason behind this is that the results boxes currently work with team templates, i.e. a structure where the name and the abbreviation is stored for each team. Since these team templates, per community consensus, will be abolished at some future point, no new team template for "Club 12" should be created. However, the background work currently carried out for this will still take a couple of weeks, so in order to avoid template red links showing up, TBD has been inserted. --Soccer-holicI hear voices in my head... 15:45, 18 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Either Dunfermline or Dundee. The SPL rule which covers it H5 only stipulates an outcome should they lose a team mid season. So it comes down to who had applied and meets SPL regulations. If you take H5 as it reads then it should be Dunfermline but as it does not specifically cover close season Its unclear yet as to how or when they will take that decision. Presumably after the 4 of July or if Rangers withdraw their application.Edinburgh Wanderer 19:59, 25 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
