Instant replay and flat-seamed baseball[edit]

Removed: It will utilize experimental instant replay rules and will also debut a new ball with flatter seams.[3]

CWS has utilized instant replay since 2012 http://espn.go.com/college-sports/story/_/id/6856904/college-world-series-gets-ok-instant-replay and the rules have not changed since then.

Also, the flatter-seamed baseball will not be used until the 2015 season and mandatory for the 2015 tournament. http://www.ncaa.com/news/baseball/article/2013-11-05/di-committee-changes-flat-seamed-baseballs-2015-championship http://collegebaseballcentral.com/ncaa-to-adopt-flat-seam-baseballs-looking-favorable-for-now/113/

"When pressed on why the ball couldn't be implemented for the '14 campaign, the NCAA Division I Committee made two things clear: They want teams to get accustomed to the new ball next fall, and there would be a major inventory issue with a swift change." http://www.perfectgame.org/Articles/View.aspx?article=9170 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.203.207.192 (talk) 22:31, 15 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
