Florida researchers.[edit]

A new study suggests that up to 38 million liters of crude oil from the 2010 BP oil spill is resting on the seafloor of the Gulf of Mexico, posing a threat to the local ecosystem.

Should this be mentioned? Lightspeed2012 13:29, 4 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Fine with me if you want to add it. Wjfox2005 (talk) 11:12, 3 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

tense[edit]

Wjfox2005 you wrote "Use the correct tense please. All other entries are present tense." three things. first, that is not true. the entry right above it is "Astronomers have made" and most of the others are past tense or present perfect. 2) is there some policy or guideline or ... custom that these should all be present tense? 3) the lead says "A number of significant scientific events have occurred or are scheduled to occur in 2015." i have no idea where you are coming from, sorry. Most entries (but not all) seem to follow the rule "the report happens in present, the actual research happened in the past". --mfb (talk) 10:12, 25 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I really don't see how this is science or new science. Best, jona(talk) 16:27, 30 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

NASA-TV/ustream (11/12/2015@12noon/et/usa) - "Global warming-related" News Briefing.[edit]

IF Interested => NASA-TV/ustream and/or NASA-Audio (Thursday, November 12, 2015@12noon/et/usa)[1] - NASA will detail the Role of Carbon on the Future Climate of the Earth - in any case - Enjoy! :) Drbogdan (talk) 14:19, 10 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

NASA scientists report that human-made carbon dioxide (CO2) continues to increase above levels not seen in hundreds of thousands of years: currently, about half of the carbon dioxide released from the burning of fossil fuels remains in the atmosphere and is not absorbed by vegetation and the oceans.[2][3][4][5]

Carbon dioxide in Earth's atmosphere if half of global-warming emissions[4][5] are not absorbed.
