Free Agency[edit]

Should this section have an ongoing event tag? I'm trying to keep it updated, but as many people, I don't live to edit Wikipedia. Leo Bonilla (talk) 19:06, 18 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

No, see Template:Current#Guidelines: the tag is only meant for periods of rapid editing. It should not be used as a 24/7 general disclaimer merely to mark that the article or section is merely in the news. Zzyzx11 (talk) 08:57, 19 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

National anthem protests[edit]

The article should mention the national anthem protests somewhere. I'd say it warrants a section under "Notable events." The coverage these protests is getting is inescapable. ESPN talk shows have been all but dedicated to covering Kaepernick and his copycats for the past month. I'm gonna start a section, with a link to 2016 U.S. national anthem protests. Dennis Green[edit]

Dennis Green is doubtless an immensely important figure in the history of American football, but was he really the first "dedicated" or full-time African-American head coach in the modern era of the NFL? Wasn't that milestone actually marked by Art Shell's first tenure as head coach of the Raiders? 2600:1004:B164:5677:DD2:38D8:D819:842E (talk) 00:37, 26 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, looks like an error specific to this article. Green's article has it correct. Unless I'm misunderstanding what's meant by "dedicated." I'll rewrite it. Lizard (talk) 00:43, 26 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Most watched games[edit]

This edit warring must stop. a similar section already exists for NCAA seasons. If there is a valid reason not to have it for the NFL, say so. Otherwise, leave the article be and start creating similar tables for previous seasons. Jdavi333 (talk) 17:50, 28 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Postseason[edit]

While the post season scenarios mention tie-breaking scenarios. There is not a link to the specific rules. I am looking as a fan with 4 more weeks to go and want to see how Team A beating Team B affects my Team C. Autkm (talk) 20:19, 4 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure if this answers your question. Jdavi333 (talk) 19:53, 5 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

What happens if Green Bay-Detroit game in Week 17 ends in a tie?[edit]

Who wins the NFC North title if the Week 17 game between the Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers ends in a tie? Joshuaharalson (talk) 05:13, 26 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

GB because they already beat the lions once.Correctron (talk) 07:49, 26 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Or Detroit if they win the MNF game. 2A02:C7D:176:DB00:71C8:4541:F75B:F804 (talk) 10:40, 26 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Let me see if I understand what you're saying correctly. If Detroit wins out they get the NFC North. If Detroit loses or ties the Week 17 game they either finish as the likely #6 seed or out of the playoffs depending on other games due to the fact that they lost their other matchup against Green Bay in Week 3. Joshuaharalson (talk) 17:07, 26 December 2016 (UTC) at that[reply]

NRG Stadium playoff games[edit]

Is it worth noting that this will be the first time that the Super Bowl host site will also host at least one other playoff game since the 1998–99 playoffs? Jdavi333 (talk) 17:58, 26 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
