Unbinding delegates section

Should there be a section on the process of the rules committee unbinding the delegates before the start of the RNC? It seems like that is becoming more and more likely and should be dealt with in the article. Also, we might want to remove the working about trump securing the nomination. That is also becoming more questionable. Thoughts?Casprings (talk) 19:44, 25 June 2016 (UTC)

No because "freeing the delegates" is a pipe-dream entertained only by the most hardened fringes of the Cruz cult and the chaos-loving media. It won't happen, and Reince Preibus and allies already have the votes to ensure against such an eventuality. We need not feed the idle speculation of the media nor give undue attention to the wishful thinking of those remaining on their ideological islands. 173.190.145.220 (talk) 00:12, 1 July 2016 (UTC)

California Vote Total

I have no idea how to ask a question or where to get help so if someone sees this here and I'm in the wrong place please correct me. I was wondering if someone was going to update the unprocessed California vote totals for Mr. Trump. The current total vote total is not correct per Green Papers even today, I believe. If someone could update the vote total when California is finally counted it would be appreciated. — Preceding unsigned comment added by StrawberryPlain (talkcontribs) 08:13, 26 June 2016 (UTC)

The California Secretary of State updates the vote totals every day, and will do so until July 8, when county election officials must report final certified results. There are editors here that routinely check the totals as reported by Green Papers. Personally, I only bother with updating CA's votes in these articles every few days, or when another state is updated, because I know it's a moving target for now. --Spiffy sperry (talk) 13:26, 1 July 2016 (UTC)
