Qualification spots[edit]

According to the article, 16 teams will participate in the 2017 FIBA Asia Cup, but the allocated spots only add up to 15. Did FIBA Asia reserve one spot for another wild card entry? 103.228.188.122 (talk) 03:52, 18 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Draw[edit]

Hello! I'll just ask if FIBA already made the groupings (draw) for the said competition. Because the last qualifier before the contest which is the East Asian Championships, is not yet playing. If someone knows that there is, just let me know. Thanks!

TheGoldenArmor375 I think the teams from East Asia were placed as placeholders, based on the current rankings. Only China has automatically qualified because they are the defending champs. I am not sure about that unfortunately. ^{Babymissfortune} 10:41, 30 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

As far as I know, yes the East Asia teams and the Central Asia team are placeholders according to this article. The participating teams listed below the homepage of the official site does not list any East Asian teams but Kazakhstan's already there.Hariboneagle927 (talk) 16:30, 30 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
