Suggestion for the "Representation from different countries"[edit]

In the total column at the moment the numer is not the sum of the already qualified nationals but the total number of eventually qualified , but this is nor really necessary information. Everybody knows that there are a total of 8 players in the quaterfinals. I suggest to either use the total column to designate the already qualified nationals, e.g round 2 at this point in time 28, and Semis = 0, anoher possibility would be to write this as 28/32 for Round 2 and 0/4 for the Semis. 2003:62:4656:6AB6:3499:DA65:2C1A:E4DC (talk) 14:03, 22 December 2016 (UTC)2003:62:4656:6AB6:3499:DA65:2C1A:E4DC (talk) 14:04, 22 December 2016 (UTC) Dartfan[reply]

Thanks to whoever is updating it now in the format 28/322003:62:4644:9637:910C:3C10:6183:B6E2 (talk) 14:38, 23 December 2016 (UTC) Dartfan[reply]
It's a strange table anyways, as the vertical totals don't match too. I understand what's meanet, but it is really difficult to read when you see it for the first time, especially with the many zeros. One would expect it shows where players were eliminated, not which rounds they played. -Koppapa (talk) 14:38, 22 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Horvat's nationality[edit]

It appears that an edit war might be brewing over how Dragutin Horvat's nationality is listed on this page. There are those who recognise him as being from Croatia, where he was born, and those who recognise him as being from Germany, where he currently resides.

I want to use this talk page to resolve this dispute before it becomes altogether more serious.

I am of the view that Horvat's nationality, for the purposes of this article, should be listed as German. That is because he is listed as such in the PDC website article confirming the field for the World Championship. As far as I am aware, Horvat has never been explicitly labelled on the PDC website as a representative of Croatia, simply that he is Croatian-born. Until he does officially represent Croatia in a tournament (i.e. the PDC World Cup of Darts), he is currently - as I see it - a German darts player.

Similarly, David Platt has been listed by the PDC as Australian, having emigrated from England seven years ago. If Platt is officially Australian, then surely - by the same token - Horvat is officially German.

I would be interested to get your viewpoints on this matter, whether you agree or disagree with me. CFuller (talk) 14:14, 28 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Players have the flag of whatever country they represent not the country where they were born in. Paul Nicholson has the Aussie flag next to his name rather than the English flag. Therefore Horvat should have the German flag and Platt the Australian flag. Dougal18 (talk) 19:28, 28 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Bracket size[edit]

What's better, the 64-player one or the divided bracket? In the past, I'd have gone for the big one displaying the whole tree. But is compresses a lot and is not really mobile friendly i guess (compare past year). -Koppapa (talk) 12:57, 10 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I would go with more smaller ones. Kante4 (talk) 10:27, 23 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
