Photos[edit]

We have a problem. This year the grand slam winners were not the best players in the rankings. Any ideas how to deal with such tight season? Now we are unfair for stars like Wozniacki, Pliskova, Venus or Svitolina. Propositum (talk) 17:14, 27 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I wouldn't call it a problem. The first giant photo in the article is world No. 1 Simona Halep. Then you get four smaller photos of the major winners. Only Pliskova and Svitolina are missing pics, and they are ranked 3rd and 4th. I don't really see an issue. Fyunck(click) (talk) 23:58, 27 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Fyunck(click): But we must remember that WTA (and ATP) Tour is much more than four tournaments. Propositum (talk) 19:08, 28 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Of course it's much more than four tournaments, but we don't show photos of every tournament winner... that would be a ridiculous amount. I would think you'd show the number one player and the four major winners as a rule. Sometimes, if some sort of record was broken, you might show another. I did not say that we should feature winners of other tournaments. I mean only that rankings is the most objective method of determining best players in the whole season. Propositum (talk) 14:52, 31 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
