This article should be deleted and redirected[edit]

This is not a special election. This page should redirect to United States House of Representatives elections in California, 2018#District 39. Kart2401real (talk) 02:54, 31 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with Kart2401real, but it seems there was already a discussion on whether or not to redirect, ending with no consensus. VietPride10 (talk) 04:31, 22 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Kart2401real and VietPride10:: I've substantially rehabilitated this article. This election, being one of the last undecided races in the election cycle, is as notable as ever, and deserves a good article. There is still a lot of work to do, but I'd love help in making this article better. -- RobLa (talk) 05:32, 17 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Rename to plural[edit]

(edit: nevermind...) Let's rename this article California's 39th congressional district elections, 2018 ("elections", not "election"). Over on Talk:United States House of Representatives elections in California, 2018, I propose making this type of article routine practice come 2020, and created California's 10th congressional district elections, 2018 as an example of what I think these articles should look like. Only in creating that article did I discover this article (thanks to Category:California elections, 2018). My naming differed only by one letter (the "s") because the article is about both the jungle primary and the general election, which I think is true about this article, too. Should we rename this article? -- RobLa (talk) 00:04, 11 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I've been thinking about this and dealing with links to the CA-10 counterpart, and I decided to rename that one rather than lobbying to rename this one. -- RobLa (talk) 04:34, 12 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Monday morning deletion nominations[edit]

This article is part of a sweep of deletion nominations that have happened this morning ("morning" for those of us in the Pacific Time Zone and a few others):

I wish these AfD nominations were centralized in a more logical place (e.g. over at Talk:United States House of Representatives elections in California, 2018), but all of these articles are on my watchlist now (and I presume need to be on the watchlist of everyone who cares about this topic). -- RobLa (talk) 21:06, 12 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Removing multiple issues template[edit]

As I write this, the top of this article is dominated with this template:

I've done substantial editing over the past few days to correct these problems. There is still a lot of work to do, but I think enough of the work has been done that we don't need to berate our readers with that banner. I'm going to remove this banner, but please feel free to restore it if you feel that banner is still needed. -- RobLa (talk) 19:50, 18 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
