2019??[edit]

Is it certain? — Preceding unsigned comment added by TheUnderdark (talkcontribs) 17:00, 12 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Not to my knowledge. I am not sure why this article has already been put here and worded like this has been voted on as FIBA policy. MrArticleOne (talk) 20:52, 19 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

first match date?[edit]

In the section for first group, there reads: First match(es) will be played on unknown
As far as I know, the host plays its first match on the first day (which is in this case August 31). So, how can it be "unkown"? And actually, since 1982, every group have had their first games in the first day of the tournament. 85.76.160.193 (talk) 06:29, 3 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Relegated instead of qualified[edit]

If the two teams are moved to 17-32nd, they should be considered as relegated, not qualified to the phase indicated. Just my suggestion. 24.42.2.106 (talk) 20:00, 2 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

They are eliminated, qualified is a weird word for that.--80.129.213.96 (talk) 09:49, 3 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
They are not yet eliminated, they are qualified for the classification matches. Eliminate means they won't play anymore. Relegate is when a team moves to a lower division.--User:Tomcat7 (talk) 14:35, 3 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Eliminated means they play no more for the tournament win. Eliminated means not no more games!--80.129.213.96 (talk) 18:21, 3 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I agree. "Eliminated" means you can't win the tournament championship, it doesn't mean you have literally no further games to play. MrArticleOne (talk) 14:20, 7 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Final ranking[edit]

Is it really sure that Ivory Coast is the best 4th placed team in the classification groups and South Korea the best 3rd place team in the classification groups? I think this is premature.--Anaxagoras13 (talk) 10:48, 8 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

For that matter, as I look at it this instant, I don't think Tunisia has clinched their position yet either; they're 3-2 and at least either China or Nigeria could also get to 3-2. MrArticleOne (talk) 12:48, 8 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Several other teams in the groups that play tomorrow could also get to 3-2. MrArticleOne (talk) 12:49, 8 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
