Underdogs?[edit]

So I’m guessing whoever wrote this page wanted to make the 49ers seem like the underdogs in yesterday’s game against the Vikings? They backed this up by finding two reporters who picked the Vikings to win. Would be nice if they’d provided a more rounded overview of the media’s picks for the game, since the vast majority of predictions I saw had the Niners down as favourites, as well as the bookmakers. Any suggestion that “many” pundits favoured the Vikings is countermanded by the fact that far more favoured the Niners, and I would appreciate it if this statement was not readded to the article. – PeeJay 17:19, 12 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Eldapeeze: I have attempted contacting you on your own talk page, but perhaps your attention will be easier to grab on this page, since you've done nothing for the last two days but revert my changes to this article. I think you've been editing on Wikipedia long enough to know that edit warring is not acceptable, especially when the other party is trying to engage with you on the subject. As I pointed out on your talk page, Wikipedia is supposed to be a collaborative effort, and you are running the risk of being blocked not just for the edit war, but also for an apparent lack of competence when it comes to communicating with other editors and your ability to evaluate sources. In truth, the facts do not support your claim that Minnesota was supported by "many experts"; this rundown put together by the Kansas City Star of picks by national journalists shows that only eight of 43 thought the Vikings would win – eight is hardly "many" – and every outlet had the 49ers as the consensus pick. If you revert my deletion of this content again without discussing it here first, I will report you for edit warring and vandalism. Thanks. – PeeJay 13:04, 14 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
