ODIs[edit]

@Lugnuts: Hi! Nepal have announced that they will be playing two ODIs against PNG immediately ahead of the T20 tri-nations series (with PNG and Malaysia). I have added the ODIs to the tri-nation series article (similar to the T20Is tagged in with last year's Valletta Cup and Cyprus Cup events), rather than have a separate page just for two random ODIs. I have listed the tri-series on the associate season summary and the ODI series on the main season (as they are ODIs); with both pointing to anchor points of a single article. Does that look ok to you? If you would prefer to pull the ODI series to a separate article, please go ahead... I just felt notability was more easily achieved with them combined. Hi! Nice work - looks fine to me, and I agree with the logic of not having a stand-alone page just for the ODIs and another for the T20I series, as per the examples you mention and this mini-headache from last September! :D Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 14:31, 6 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Ah yes that one was a headache! Probably should be Papua New Guinean and United States cricket teams in Oman in 2021–22, but let's not go there again! Bs1jac (talk) 14:35, 6 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hehe, yeah best left in the past! I did a similar thing for the two T20I matches Ireland are due to play against South Africa, and added them to the England tour page, rather than a stand-alone article. And that they are both in Bristol too... Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 14:38, 6 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Bs1jac and Lugnuts: Are the ODIs part of League 2? I don't remember any postponed fixtures. Human (talk) 15:13, 6 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
No, just regular ODIs (a bit like those mentioned above in Oman last year) Bs1jac (talk) 15:14, 6 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The one in Oman explicitly said in preparation of upcoming League 2, while this one is after the League series. Human (talk) 15:18, 6 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I did think they could be part of the CWCL2, while they have the teams all in one place! Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 15:25, 6 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
It's possible of course, but that has not been communicated to EC (and they were not mentioned in the ICC's recent list of forthcoming League 2 series). Like all other ODI teams, there is nothing stopping boards from arranging games outside of Super League or League 2. As far as we know at the moment, they are just standalone games to give Nepal a few extra home fixtures for their fans. For PNG it will be additional prep for their League 2 series starting on 9 April. Bs1jac (talk) 19:46, 6 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
