Scores[edit]

The teams meet only once per round. Why do these make it appear that they meet twice? Howard the Duck (talk) 15:46, 24 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Howard the Duck It is what's done in FIBA 3x3 World Cup articles (2014, 2019, etc.), FIBA 3x3 Europe Cup (2021), FIBA itself on their websites ([1], [2], etc.), so I just followed suit for consistency. Engr. Smitty Werben 16:12, 24 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Does the PBA do this? Our tables for 5-on-5 PBA tournaments don't do this. Howard the Duck (talk) 16:30, 24 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Well I'm pretty sure the PBA does the record keeping at the FIBA website so it could be. Well, it's just a matter of being consistent either with the PBA articles or all the other 3x3 tournament articles. Engr. Smitty Werben 16:39, 24 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The PBA uses FIBA's recordkeeping system for this tournament, but it's quite clear they don't do this for tournaments they solely control. FWIW, FIBA does this also for 5-on-5 tournaments, and it's a good idea to emphasize on the scores tables that the teams meet only once and that the scores are reversed on the other side of the table. I have added the full format of the 3x3 season in the format section, including the information of the format within the pools. Hope that will clear up things for the readers. Engr. Smitty Werben 03:08, 25 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
