Alleged attempt[edit]

Even the Washington post who was first to report on incident described it as alleged. This name move is abiding by reliable sources, anyone who wishes to reverse the edit will have the burden of proof. Makeandtoss (talk) 11:53, 4 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Time to treat the incident for what it really is, a purge of a dissident prince and his acquittances, and arrests of politicians suspected of what seems to be land sales in East Jerusalem. Majority of sources are casting doubt on the official version of an attempted coup. I will rename the article to the more descriptive "2021 arrests in Jordan". If anyone disagrees please take it to the talk page to discuss a better terminology, anything away from the "coup" claim. Makeandtoss (talk) 19:44, 7 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Most reliable news sources reporting on the issue during past three days have described it as a “destabilizing plot”, using the government’s own words. Others dedicated entire articles to criticize the government’s early coup attempt claims. Makeandtoss (talk) 17:03, 8 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
