Edit of season total stats[edit]

@SuperJew: Would you kindly help me understand why you undid my revision on this page yesterday? I think I backed the accuracy of the numbers up pretty decently given the game-by-game summation in the infobox (which was mostly just missing the playoffs), but I can add a cite if that's helpful. I'm trying to make the numbers match up for the reference table over at this page, hence my concern with something otherwise a bit pedantic. - Denzera (talk) 01:17, 13 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Doesn't seem to be a matter of personal disagreement, seems like it's a question of what's the common practice, for which we need a WP consensus. In global football, some leagues have playoffs, some don't. But it seems to me a decent argument that since they're part of crowning the champion, playoff games (and attendance numbers) are relevant to the totals - and they speak to the league's financial viability and popularity as a whole, in terms of average attendance per game etc. I can also see the other side. I'm happy to kick off a discussion on that, but am unsure of the best place for it in terms of getting attention and input, as each league seems to have its own set of interested editors that rarely overlap. Regarding the issue, as far as I'm aware the consensus is to include regular home and away season details only in infoboxes, both in the ALW, ALM, and other soccer leagues.
