Order of remaining playoff teams[edit]

Here is this year's order of remaining playoff teams.

Conference Finalists will be given the final four selections in this year's draft. As teams get eliminated from the playoffs please only add teams that have their selection spot determined.

The following is a list in reverse order of league finish for this year's playoff teams:

  • Nashville Predators
  • Dallas Stars
  • Los Angeles Kings
  • Washington Capitals
  • Pittsburgh Penguins
  • Edmonton Oilers
  • Boston Bruins
  • St. Louis Blues
  • Tampa Bay Lightning
  • New York Rangers
  • Minnesota Wild
  • Toronto Maple Leafs
  • Calgary Flames
  • Carolina Hurricanes
  • Colorado Avalanche
  • Florida Panthers

Ex: If the Predators or Panthers were to be eliminated in the first two rounds they would pick 17th and 28th respectively. If the Predators were to make the conference finals and Dallas was eliminated in the opening two rounds then the Stars would pick 17th. If the Panthers were to make the conference finals and the Avalanche lost in either of the first two rounds then Colorado would select 28th. Deadman137 (talk) 17:14, 30 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Position odds chart[edit]

With the presumptive #12 to #16 teams locking their draft positions upon winning a draw, the position odds are askew. Presumptive #4 to #11 has a chance at 3rd position. Presumptive #12 has no chance at 3rd position. Presumptive #13 has no chance at 4th position. Presumptive #14 has no chance at 5th position. Presumptive #15 has no chance at 6th position. Presumptive #16 has no chance at 7th position. 71.166.112.16 (talk) 01:23, 15 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The assumption was that if #12 won the first lottery and then one of top 11 won the second lottery that #12 would drop to third overall. I'm not sure if that's how it works because the league was not completely clear on that situation. Deadman137 (talk) 01:52, 15 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=0PgCHEoNa3w This is my source. e.g. Columbus couldn't have picked 3rd, my calculation has CBJ at 5.227% at getting 2nd position. i.e other position odds are affected. TD Tom of Baltimore, MD (talk) 02:32, 15 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Perfect, happy to be wrong on this one, as the information in the video had not been released publicly when that table was added. I'm certainly not going to get in the way of anyone that wants to fix the table as it is obvious that it needs some fixing. Deadman137 (talk) 02:58, 15 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Czech Republic or Czechia[edit]

The fellows on Sportsnet are saying "Czechia", fwiw. GoodDay (talk) 02:53, 8 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
