Steven Jones is an UDFA signed as an OL[edit]

The main image of the reference says OL, in the description he gets referred to as an OL. Yes, it also mentions he played as a guard in college. He's no longer in college, he's a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars, and they signed him as an offensive lineman, hence why their article says they signed the offensive lineman Steven Jones from Oregon. Positions are not set in stone, and players change positions all the time. That's why Wikipedia uses references to determine the information in the article, not "what is obvious".DragonFury (talk) 18:35, 7 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

This is the most stupid thing I've ever seen.
Caleb Williams played QB in college, but he's no longer in college, let's say he will play Linebacker because he's not in college, he's with the Bears now.
Joe Alt playing as an offensive tackle? You must be joking, he played at OT with Notre Dame, but now he is with the Chargers, he'll play as a Wide receiver. Sergio Skol (talk) 18:43, 7 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
And Template:Jacksonville Jaguars roster also says he is a Guard, why you don't want to be specific when it is possible? MOS:SPECIFICLINK Sergio Skol (talk) 18:52, 7 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Caleb Williams played QB in college, he was drafted by the Bears to play QB in the NFL. Joe Alt played OT in college, he was drafted by the Chargers to play OT in the NFL. These definitions line up nicely and neatly. Steven Jones played on the offensive line in college, at least some of those games he played at guard. But according to the reference, he was signed by the Jaguars to play as an offensive lineman in the NFL. That's what the reference says, so that's what should be in this article. And if you want a fun comparison; you should go check what position Matt Jones played in college, what position he was drafted by Jaguars to play in the NFL, and what position he is listed as in the articles for the 2005 NFL draft and the 2005 Jacksonville Jaguars season.DragonFury (talk) 19:10, 7 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
