To much plot information in the article[edit]

The whole timeline has far to much information if you ask me. Wikipedia might have a lot of spoilers and indepth explanations if you ask me it shouldnt be this detailed. Especially since it gives off fukubei as the 1st friend right from the start. Captain duck (talk) 00:15, 10 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Original Friend[edit]

The section on "Friend" seems off from the translation I read. In my translation, the original Friend wasn't Fukubei. Fukubei became friend, and the original resumed his role after Fukubei died. (The other person being a mystery.) If someone else can verify whether this is correct or not (translation vary), perhaps the article should be changed.

I don't believe that is correct. Chapters in 21st Century Boys sort of indicate that the real power behind the plot goes to the copy of the copy. Since the last attempt at Friend's plan is the anti-proton bomb and it was orchastrated by the non-Fukubei friend that implies that Fukubei was the original. Also, the masked child who would become the other Friend was actually the one who said it. --Cronodude360 (talk) 04:51, 26 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Complaint against article writer[edit]

(POSSIBLE SPOILER HERE)

Who wrote this article is an idiot. This is an article on 20th Century Boys, and he inserted spoilers about 21th century boys, (aka he/she said who is the second Friend) without alerting. If you read this comment, don't even write any more articles.

Was the identity of the second Friend ever revealed? I thought the final chapter won't be released until the Spring of 2007. Ramenguitar 23:25, 30 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Well its 2008 now and 21st century boys is out and translated. The identity of the 2nd Friend is now revealed. Go read the manga if you want to find out. Captain duck (talk) 00:15, 10 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Bob Lennon[edit]

Does anyone know who sung that song as Kenji on the cd included with the manga? GETTA GET (talk) 05:22, 16 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello?GETTA GET (talk) 20:36, 16 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Apparently not. It might be Naoki Urasawa himself http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RHOWr4mnUIU&feature=related Theafroguy (talk) 18:00, 23 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

chapter list[edit]

I've started the list for the manga volumes. As the series is complete, please help to fill in the data. AngusWOOF (talk) 23:02, 31 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I was actually planning to do this sometime soon. However, because there are over 20 volumes it should be its own article with summaries, such as List of Death Note chapters. I'm willing to make that article this weekend, but not willing to read the series again to add summaries of what happens in each volume. Also, I can not seem to find the chapter titles written in Japanese or Viz's translations. I only have fan translations, but after looking at those you added for the first volume they seem to be very similar to Viz's. Are you able to find Viz's? Xfansd (talk) 23:37, 31 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I have some of Viz's volumes from the library so I can add the chapter titles. If you have the other information, that would be great. Go ahead and make the separate article; it's worth doing. We can always add in the official titles (volume 1 already done) afterwards. AngusWOOF (talk) 00:33, 1 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I went ahead and created List of 20th Century Boys chapters, and have added volume 2 titles from the Viz edition. They renumbered the chapters for each volume, so I just let the numbers continue instead. AngusWOOF (talk) 18:48, 1 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Viz editions[edit]

I've never read Viz's original edition of the series, but I'm reading the perfect edition now. It uses a few slightly different names than what appear in this article; Fukube instead of Fukebei, and Friendship and Democracy Party instead of Friendship Democratic Party for example. Can someone confirm whether the original English edition uses the same names that appear in this article currently? Xfansd (talk) 00:41, 20 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
