DYK hook[edit]

Uh, the point of having a "hook" for your DYK mention on the main page is that readers will come here for more information, especially in the case of a "teaser" like this one. So, imagine my disappointment when I found there is no information whatsoever about why they hired pages to blindfold a statue. That was the only reason I clicked through and I'm sure I am not the only one. Beeblebrox (talk) 16:44, 16 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

No explanation is given in the article as to the legislator's motivations because the supporting sources provide no explanation as to their motives. An online source that provides information very similar to the book cited by the article is available here. A further search through the session's proceedings gives no further insight into their reasoning. If you know of a reliable source that provides documented insight into the thoughts and passions of these long dead politicians then please let us know so that the article can be improved. Otherwise you are simply asking for speculation and/or mind reading, which is a violation of Wikipedia:No original research. --Allen3 talk 17:09, 16 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The DYK hook describes the statue as being Liberty, but the depiction at File:Arizona Capitol Museum Cooper Dome and Winged Victory.JPG indicates that it is actually "Winged Victory." I supposed at this date it is not possible to differentiate this apparent discrepancy. Deanlaw (talk) 17:26, 16 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article uses "Liberty" as that is the name used in all its supporting sources. This is another case of not violating Wikipedia:No original research. --Allen3 talk 17:45, 16 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
