Party affiliation[edit]

The tables 'TDs by party' and 'TDs by constituency' are records of TDs and their party affiliation (or lack of) at Election time. Do NOT modify it if a TD changes his/her party/status.

The helpfully titled 'Changes' table at the end of the article records these changes.

For example, people keep updating it to change the status of Niall Blaney from Independent to Fianna Fail (FF). This means that the table would read that Blaney was elected as a FF TD in 2002 whereas he didn't join FF until 2006.

Repeat the tables are NOT a record of the current status of the Dail, they are a historical record of the 2002 general election. Snappy56 23:20, 4 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Length of Dail in Days[edit]

The article curently states that this Dail lasted 1782 days, the longest in history. But the 28th Dail article says it lasted for 1806 days and was the 2nd longest, the longest being the 10th Dail 1938-1943 which lasted 1832. Can someone work out the numbers and fix whichever needs to be fixed.--Rye1967 19:46, 29 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

When I vist that link it says 1788 days, perhaps they have changed it since you checked. The 29th Dail first met on 6th Jun 2002 and was dissolved on 29th Apr 2007. Calculating myself I also get 1788, so I am changing the article --Rye1967 14:23, 16 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
