major cleanup

just did a major cleanup of the article, added some information such as the list of effects, anybody is free to correct any mistakes ive made.--Neur0X 03:28, 30 June 2006 (UTC)

I just took the following from under dosage: "By default, great care should be taken if one is recreationally experimenting with hallucinogens such as 2C-B or LSD. Notably, science has proven that many psychedelic drugs have some effect on the behavior of the mind, and such drugs may not interact well with users who have moderate-serious psychological disorders, such as schizophrenia or clinical depression." While good advice, this doesn't really belong under the dosage, although I could see it fitting there as taking care would imply begining with a low dose. However the point is moot anyway as wikipedia doesn't give advice. It's possible some of it could be cleaned up and put under a "Possible Dangers" section or something similar. Redirect

Sorry for my english, but isn't it wrong that page 4-Bromo-2,5-dimethoxy-a-methylphenethylamine redirects to this article, not to DOB? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Hesareal (talkcontribs) 15:44, 16 July 2010 (UTC)

Small group of knowledgable users?

It's hard to make this statement considering that 2C-B is often used as a party/rave drug. On second thought, I think I'm going to remove that sentence unless someone can verify it with another source. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Exercisephys (talkcontribs) 21:13, 5 January 2013 (UTC)

I'm going to have to agree with you. In highschool the 2C drugs were rather popular when I lived in Upstate NY. Having moved to SoCal, they're also very popular out here. 76.176.202.233 (talk) 02:15, 28 September 2013 (UTC)
I support this removal; I'll check it now and take it out if you haven't already. Thanks. Exercisephys (talk) 18:53, 28 September 2013 (UTC)
I reworded it for accuracy. Exercisephys (talk) 18:56, 28 September 2013 (UTC)
It's quite common in the UK too but what does the cited source say? There is no online copy.Testem (talk) 15:02, 30 September 2013 (UTC)

Style guidelines met

This article now contains good quality english and appears to meet style guidelines. I will soon remove the label. Testem (talk) 16:10, 25 September 2013 (UTC)

Original research

I can no longer find any examples of this. The effects section could perhaps do with more comprehensive references but if no OR can be highlighted then this tag should be removed.Testem (talk) 15:47, 1 October 2013 (UTC)

I have now removed this tag. Testem (talk) 10:42, 8 October 2013 (UTC)

Dosage table

Please could someone with more formatting knowledge put the two dosage tables side-by-side? Thanks.

For increasing the class of the article in regards of WP:Chem, it simply needs more chemistry information. Wim van Dorst (talk) 20:34, 11 June 2008 (UTC).

Also known as

It is AKA:

  • Common: 2CB (this is sort of in the article)
  • Common: Nexus[1][2] (this is in the article)
  • Uncommon: Bromo[3][4] (not in the article)

The last reference (a transcript): I'm not sure that "Bromo" is referring to 2C-B; it might be referring to Bromo-Seltzer or Bromo-DragonFLY. --User123o987name (talk) 19:36, 6 January 2019 (UTC)

false information about Colimbia's use

Hi folks. I created an account just for this. 2CB is not the club drug of choice in colombia. 90% of what people buy as 2CB doesn't contain any 2CB at all. It's usually a combination of sildenafil (viagra), ketamine, ecstassy and other random ingredients. There's no set recipe, depends on the "cook" who made it, which is usually a young junkie who doesn't know anything about chemistry and doesn't have any equipment.

It's a scam. It's more expensive than any other drug. They convince youngs that the rich famous people take that mixture for fun. And the young want to emulate everything the rich and famous do, so they buy it. Many of them end up in hospitals due to the nasty unknown ingredients.

The source article from which the current affirmation is taken, is missinfirmed yellow journalism and has been criticized.

I could provide sources to back up what I'm saying. But they're in spanish. At the very least that section should be removed. I've never done editing so I'm not sure if I can do it nor how to do it, or if I should wait for someone to do it.

I hope someone reads this, thanks so much Misteresponjilla (talk) 08:09, 17 January 2020 (UTC)
