Merge Discussion: Jason Morrison article[edit]

This should be added to 2GB. This guy works there on the air. (unsigned, comment by JanelleNills)

  • There are a lot of broadcasters who have their own pages in wikipedia (see the category Australian radio personalities), perhaps this article simply needs more information. After all, broadcasters have their own careers which often move between stations, so such information can't really be tied to a specific station's wiki page. Also, information about a radio station should be distinct from biographical information about people who are working there at this time. - Therandom 11:42, 18 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

The 2GB logo is quite large; perhaps someone might want to resize it? Mind the gap 01:42, 16 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Controversy[edit]

Is there any objections to including the Codes of Practice, the ACMA and Alan Jones on here? They have been fairly pivitoal events for 2GB. Jacketed 01:36, 12 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm an avid 2GB listener (to dispel anybody calling me a nutty pinko) and think It should be. It's earned the station nation wide attention.

Alan Jones PM Lies comment[edit]

A sustained multimedia attack by diverse government supporters on a non 2GB event has temporarily impacted on advertising for 2GB, but this hasn't yet impacted quarterly earnings and may never be substantiated. The issue impacts Alan Jones but not 2GB. Probably best to post any issues relating to it on Jones' page. IMHO. An article on the issue, with links, is at http://blogs.news.com.au/heraldsun/andrewbolt/index.php/heraldsun/comments/rudd_says_of_jones_what_labor_says_of_rudd/ DDB (talk) 02:32, 2 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Neutrality!![edit]

God, how can an article on a radio station end up being disputed for its neutrality! Come on. It's not that hard to put up a reasonable article on this!

Fair use rationale for Image:2gb.jpg[edit]

Image:2gb.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

POV tag[edit]

This concerns POV tag cleanup. Whenever an POV tag is placed, it is necessary to also post a message in the discussion section stating clearly why it is thought the article does not comply with POV guidelines, and suggestions for how to improve it. This permits discussion and consensus among editors. From WP tag policy: Drive-by tagging is strongly discouraged. The editor who adds the tag must address the issues on the talk page, pointing to specific issues that are actionable within the content policies, namely Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, Wikipedia:Verifiability, Wikipedia:No original research and Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons. Simply being of the opinion that a page is not neutral is not sufficient to justify the addition of the tag. Tags should be added as a last resort. Better yet, edit the topic yourself with the improvements. This statement is not a judgement of content, it is only a cleanup of frivolously and/or arbitrarily placed tags. No discussion, no tag.Jjdon (talk) 00:27, 1 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Non alcoholic beer & wine[edit]

Why can a 14 year old kid buy today non alcoholic beer & wine from coles & Woolworths. Surely by aged 14 it trains there brain to receive a acquired taste up to 18 , so by 18 it’s just natural to drink the real stuff then they turn into alcoholic’s non alcoholic items should not be allowed to be sold to minors 49.186.80.135 (talk) 09:46, 13 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
