Prior to 2010 singles[edit]

First of all, "Please Don't Go", "You & I", and "Kiss" were all included on To Anyone. If we were to write that they were "digital singles", then every song on that list would be a digital single as they all were. Most artists release digital singles before the album, but they are still considered singles on the album and therefore the album name belongs on the Album category on the discography.

Secondly, the sources state that the songs reached number one on various online charts like Soribada or Mnet, etc. This is akin to reaching number one on iTunes or Amazon in America which is a chart we don't use. We only use the official record charts for that country -- and for Korea, it's the Gaon Chart.

As for the rankings stated, Gaon Chart used to have the 2009 rankings (which included You & I, Please Don't Go, and Kiss) under the monthly category but I'm not sure what happened to them -- they seemed to have disappeared from the main website. If anyone could find them anywhere, it would be appreciated! 21nolja 06:10, 4 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

True, "Please Don't Go", "You & I" and "Kiss" were included on the To Anyone album but prior to that, they were promoted as official digital singles. Like I mentioned, the Gaon chart wasn't even around in 2009 when those singles were originally released so in this case, they're an exception. You can't even cite the information you provided on the Gaon website while I provided legit news sources. Again, please give the girls their due credit. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.180.147.252 (talk) 18:17, 22 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • If you wanted to put it that way, then almost every artist discography would be full of digital singles. When you look at Britney Spears or Lady Gaga's discographies, do you see "Born This Way" and "Hold It Against Me" listed as digital singles? No. Their respective albums are not released yet but they are still listed asbeing from those albums, because it's true. Secondly, the Gaon Chart has not been around since 2009, but they provided the data for it. When you go to the website, there is a tab for 2009 data, it just no longer works. I have no idea when they deactivated it but they used to provide monthly data for 2009. If they never had it in the first place, the 2009 tab would not be there, as it would be pointless. However, for now, I'll be willing to compromise since you do have a point in the fact that it is no longer there, and it's all depending only on my word. So I'll let you link to this. However, I am not willing to compromise on the single's albums as this is how all discographies are done, and I have been formatting this on featured discographies, which Britney Spears and Lady Gaga's are. 21nolja 04:29, 23 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Division into Korean and Japanese discographies[edit]

I would like to kindly request that if you edit, please don't divide sections into Korean and Japanese! Since the start, they have been blurring the lines between Korean and Japanese albums (with albums being touted as "the first" in Japan just being collections of Korean music rereleased in that country).

In addition, many American foreign artist discographies (for example, Shakira and Enrique Iglesias that do have more than one language in their discographies only list them in section and nut under subheadings like "Spanish" and "English". It's in the best interest of this page to keep them under one list. Thanks! 21nolja 04:27, 5 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Dead link[edit]

During several automated bot runs the following external link was found to be unavailable. Please check if the link is in fact down and fix or remove it in that case!

Gaon Download Chart for March 2014 is weird[edit]

The Gaon Download Chart for March 2014 [1] does not list any data for the singles on Crush. It might still be a work in progress though. -AngusWOOF (talk) 19:49, 3 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Incorrect sales[edit]

Some of these sales are completely fabricated. I am talking particularly about the Japanese album sales listed. These need rectified ASAP. — Preceding unsigned comment added by KweenSooyoung (talkcontribs) 13:23, 22 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

There used to be source links directly next to the sales links when I first added them, but they'd gotten moved to the bottom for some reason. All of these figures come directly from the Oricon database. Anyone else who had an account is free to verify these figures. --Prosperosity (talk) 00:30, 23 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This is a greatest hits album that is nothing but a track listing and has no sources. The Albums MOS recommends merging such articles to the group's discography. Shinyang-i (talk) 08:10, 12 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
