2nd Avenue Website now online[edit]

Here's the actual website of the new 2nd Avenue website starting today and here's their actual site:

  • - Source: Solar Entertainment Website.

And Take note I not lying at all. It is the actual website of the said channel but you missed the triple www instead.

RJtv Shows[edit]

Please note that both Thank God it's RJ... Live! and RJ Sunday Jam is not anymore an RJtv-only programming but instead now a part of the Schedule of 2nd Avenue, since it is now produced by SOLAR Entertainment.

Moved[edit]

I moved the article to a disambiguated title, since the idea that 2nd Avenue has this television network as its WP:PRIMARYTOPIC seems indefensible. But there are a lot of incoming links that would need to be fixed if I change the redirect 2nd Avenue to point to 2nd Avenue (disambiguation). Does someone know if there's a bot that will do this kind of busy work? Dicklyon (talk) 04:23, 31 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree that this is not the primary topic. The only other use of "2nd Avenue" as a title on WP is 2nd Avenue (album), which gets a small fraction of the pageviews of this article. The many incoming links are another indication of primary use. Station1 (talk) 21:39, 14 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
The incoming links are from all the shows that they carry; not indicative of anything more than that. Dicklyon (talk) 06:51, 16 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Indeed, most of the links are from templates. Once those are fixed, the count will drop dramatically. This only illustrates one of the pitfalls of relying on raw data. And there are several ambiguous topics. olderwiser 16:33, 16 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

2nd avenue (alone) should not re-direct here; it's not the most common use[edit]

I think "2nd avenue", alone, should not link to this page, but instead link to the disambiguation page. If you type into google ' "2nd avenue" -site:en.wikipedia.org ' to look at all references to "2nd avenue" outside of wikipedia, you see a huge variety, with the TV network being 6th slot. So while it's a plausible destination for someone who types in "2nd avenue", it is not a dominant one.

Also, if you look at what pages within wikipedia a user might mean when referring to "2nd avenue", by far the most common is Second Avenue Subway with more than 9000 page views in the last 30 days. Next is Second Avenue (Manhattan) with 995 page views. Next is 2nd Avenue Deli with 663, then Second Avenue (IND Sixth Avenue Line) with 615, then 2nd Avenue (television network) with 409. I'd suspect most people who type in just "2nd Avenue" mean the street in New York and not the cable network.

Finally, with so much mobile access with poor keyboards, I suspect many people looking for the street would type "2nd Avenue", not "Second Avenue", both because they do not know which one is right, and because 2nd is shorter. So it should be a short path (2 click instead of 3) for the more popular Second Avenue (Manhattan). LouScheffer (talk) 16:03, 19 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
