Muse[edit]

It probably doesn't count as an official Citation, but just for the record, Knights of Cydonia by Muse was indeed used for some short DVD ads for 300, and some longer "teaser trailer" ads, for example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3mVIJmkhZwY&feature=related Interestingly when I first heard this song, I knew i'd heard it before, and it's because of seeing those clips a few years ago ;) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sduibek (talkcontribs) 23:34, 27 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Lyrics[edit]

Someone has provided the informatin that "The lyrics that are sung are in the Latin language". Could someone provide the URL with the lyrics of 300 (soundtrack)? --Odysses () 11:46, 4 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Translation[edit]

"Φέρτο - πάρτε το" does not translate to "surrender - come and get it", but to "Bring it - (2nd person plural/all of you) take it" Poromenos 17:05, 9 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:300 soundtrack cover.jpg[edit]

Image:300 soundtrack cover.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.Betacommand (talkcontribsBot) 05:34, 26 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The name[edit]

What the song title of this 300 song, often heard in 300 trailers on youtube (Darn of War, 300, Halo 300 etc), you know, starts with a choir?

"Copyright Issues" edits reversed[edit]

The previous revision of the "copyright issues" section had a much more concise and clean description of copyright issues. The one "Stefanwikipedia" made is much more messy, without sources, and entirely unlike an encyclopedia.

For the betterment of the article I've reversed these changes. If there are disagreements, discuss them here prior to further revisions. 71.215.216.191 (talk) 03:26, 22 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I added (cited) information about the Macedonian folk song issue. I kept it concise and neutral and tried to match the style and voice of the rest of the article. Although Warner Bros./Tyler Bates haven't officially acknowledged this song's copyright issue, it is there nonetheless. I own both songs ("Message for the Queen" and "Zajdi, Zajdi"), and the melody is identical. If the consensus is to delete my post, please give me a reason. If it is factual and documented, it shouldn't be deleted. Some users seem to have nationalistic agendas in this arena...Cynimue (talk) 08:23, 23 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Missing track[edit]

Any need to include in the article that the soundtrack is missing a track? (It plays in the film during the fight between Leonidas and the uber-immortal; it is not Immortals or Fever Dream, trust me.) If someone can identify its name, I'd recommend mentioning it in the article with the Muse and Nince Inch Nails songs. 144.126.237.7 15:43, 2 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Quote[edit]

I removed referenced material because it wasn't related and replaced it. --60.230.212.90 (talk) 09:52, 18 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

amazon.com rating[edit]

do you really think that 30 odd customer ratings on amazon constitutes a review? I mean that section is supposed to be for professional reviews you know, youd be just as well to stick your own user name in there and put 5 stars or whatever you personally would give it. Terrasidius (talk) 22:27, 19 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ok ive left time for an answer and no-one has so i'll remove it. ΤΕΡΡΑΣΙΔΙΩΣ(Ταλκ) 17:13, 2 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
