Wordpress citations[edit]

The wordpress citations in this article are excerpts from a book published by historian Jeff T. Giambrone: "Beneath Torn and Tattered Flags: A History of the 38th Mississippi Infantry". The book was released in a limited pressing, so the author Giambrone republished the material on his wordpress site so it could be more widely accessed. I am not Giambrone and have no connection with him, but this book has been cited by numerous other authors writing about the Vicksburg campaign so it is a reliable source.
