Distinguished Flying Cross List[edit]

I don't think this award is important enough to meet Wikipedia's notability standards. I'm not aware of any other United States Army Air Forces group page that even lists recipients of the Silver Star. I believe it should be deleted. --Lineagegeek (talk) 20:35, 4 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

It is notable. Please see Category:Recipients_of_the_Distinguished_Flying_Cross_(United_States)

The fact that there's a list of notable people who have been awarded the DFC does not make anyone with a DFC notable. I don't think I am. Remember Wikipedia is not a memorial --Lineagegeek (talk) 23:02, 3 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The list, formerly on the article page, is as follows: --Lineagegeek (talk) 21:09, 9 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Missile competition[edit]

The article claims the wing won in 1967. Ravenstein, Charles A. (1984). Air Force Combat Wings, Lineage & Honors Histories 1947-1977 (PDF). Washington, DC: Office of Air Force History. ISBN 0-912799-12-9. indicates the first win was in 1969. --Lineagegeek (talk) 23:02, 3 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Source found for 1967. Since that one wasn't "Olympic Arena" perhaps Ravenstein didn't count it. --Lineagegeek (talk) 21:13, 13 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
