Update "Talks" section[edit]

I’ve noticed that his father is possibly Don Sanderson after a YouTube channel commented on one of his videos that seemed to have old videos of Grant growing up, and also claimed that Grant speaks Mandarin, French, and Spanish. The URL of the channel is https://youtube.com/channel/UC9LLd70nDUaJdvZIlrKtFkA I hope this could be useful to add to the page.

Yesterday (Wednesday, August 12th at 13:00PT), Grant had a talk for SIGGRAPH 2021, titled "Programmatic Visualizations in Mathematics". I didn't attend, so I don't have the necessary info to update the article myself, but somebody who did should update it. 👍 Jack Papel (talk) 18:21, 12 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Just so you know, YouTube comments aren't a reliable source. —Panamitsu (talk) 06:53, 8 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Origin of the channel name.[edit]

Where does the name 3 blue 1 brown come from?

The infobox says: "The channel name and logo reference the color of Grant's right eye, which has blue-brown sectoral heterochromia." Dexxor (talk) 07:16, 29 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Incongruence[edit]

The beginning of the article reads "3Blue1Brown is a math YouTube channel. However, a later section is titled "Early life and education".

I think this is a type-error. An YouTube channel doesn't have Early Life and education, an youtuber does. So is this article about the youtube channel or the youtuber? 202.215.222.248 (talk) 12:17, 21 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The lead also identifies Grant Sanderson as a synonymous page title, since the youtube channel is exclusively Sanderson's own work. In time, the two topics might warrant separate pages, assuming that separate WP:NOTABILITY is attained, which seems reasonable. Tayste (edits) 04:19, 28 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

High school and rough birth year[edit]

The Park City Education Foundation says he graduated from Park City High School in 2011, which would also suggest that he was born in the early 1990s. I'm not sure if this is suitable for inclusion. jlwoodwa (talk) 05:52, 21 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Summer of Math Exposition[edit]

SOME, now in its 3rd year, is a notable development of this channel and has spurred a lot of online content aimed at making mathematical topics accessible. I am surprised it has not been given a mention to date. Coshatiuav (talk) 06:15, 8 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Unsure of why it isn't mentioned on this Wikipedia page or in the media? Because the latter explains the former. Pabsoluterince (talk) 07:58, 8 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
