Lineage[edit]

This article states that 4 Field was raised in 1960, however, I believe that it was actually raised much earlier than that. The Australian War Memorial unit information for 4 Field Regiment states that the unit takes its lineage from 4th Australian Field Artillery Brigade raised in 1915 (please see [1]). This unit served during World War I on the Western Front and then after the war became a militia unit attached to the 3rd Division and based at St Kilda, Victoria. In 1941 the unit was mobilised at Bonegilla as part of the 4th Brigade. In January 1944 the unit was deployed to New Guinea where it fought with the 7th Division until the end of the war. After WWII it was disbanded. Does anyone think that this information should be included in the article? — AustralianRupert (talk) 01:03, 20 May 2009 (UTC)  Done[reply]
