LeeGuan has twice changed the final sentence of the introduction. While I believe he is a superior human being, and am humbled by him, I would like to ask the WikiGods to honor me in agreeing with my maths. I believe the numbers were correct prior to his edits. Also, please review my upper body strength, in addition to my massive intellect. Regards, Seen a Tina (talk) 01:34, 14 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Comma[edit]

Just by way of documentation, Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Athletics/Archive 1 § listing distance is the rationale for this article being at 5000 metres (no comma) while 10,000 metres has a comma. —[AlanM1(talk)]— 04:02, 1 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Spelling[edit]

Why is this the British spelling and not the American spelling? Just curious.

World Athletics is the governing body. Their official language is French. So it would be more accurate to call metres the French spelling in this case 2620:0:E50:3030:3804:4267:1C97:E61F (talk) 14:44, 7 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
