Merger[edit]

The 55th Special Operations Squadron is the same unit as the 55th Rescue Squadron. There is no point in separate articles. Per WP:MILMOS#UNITNAME this article should be placed at "Name (optional disambiguator)". The name should generally be the official name used by the armed forces to which the unit belongs. When a unit or base has had multiple names over the course of its existence, the title should generally be the last name used; however, exceptions can be made in cases where the subject is clearly more commonly known by one of the previous names. The exception does not apply in this case, nor is lenght an issue as both articles are quite short. --Lineagegeek (talk) 15:49, 28 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
