Removal of Categories/Information[edit]

Not sure what was up with the edits by 71.229.190.204, but all categories and nominees that had been added were removed. I backed out those changes. Phrique 13:59, 6 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Winners pre-declared?[edit]

Were there some winners already declared before the ceremony? I'm fairly sure there were not, and thus those things that are already bolded should not be. Thatcrazycommie 04:12, 26 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Whoops, never mind. Yeah, I probably should have researched that before making my comments. Thatcrazycommie 04:15, 26 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Seinfeld?[edit]

Why is Jerry Seinfeld in the list of comedy direction? Is that a joke? I deleted it, if it should have been there, feel free to fix it

This list is incomplete[edit]

There is still a great deal of nominations and winners that have not been added to the list. They are the Creative Arts Emmys. The nominations can be found with the rest of the Primetime nominations found here (PDF) and the winners can be found in this press release (PDF). If you have any questions, please contact me at my talk page. Ian Manka Talk to me! 20:32, 27 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Intro controversy to be added[edit]

Is it worth mentioning that Conan's Lost plane crash parody caused some controversy because of the Comair Flight 5191 crash earlier in the day? The Lexington NBC affiliate was pretty upset in a statement released after the show. --69.161.146.61 03:25, 28 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I wouldn't include it; this article is primarily a list of the nominees and winners, with a very short summary of the evening's events. Unless the plane thing somehow turns into a big scandal, I'd say leave it out. CalebNoble 08:37, 28 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Removed category[edit]

It seems that the "Outstanding Individual Performance in a Variety or Music Special" category (the one where Barry Manilow beat Colbert) was removed from the page in this edit. Manilow's win is still referenced twice on the page, but completely missing from the list of winners. Can we add back the category? aditsu (talk) 09:21, 21 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
