An unnecessary fork[edit]

This article, unreferenced since 2007 is an unnecessary fork of Semiconductor device fabrication, a relatively short article. There are twenty articles of a similar characterization. The whole group could be simply rolled into Semiconductor device fabrication, at which time the predictions of the future should be eliminated. There is no value added to the encyclopedia by having twenty spottily referenced articles when one would do. Rhadow (talk) 15:30, 18 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

As-is, I agree that this group is not particularly interesting or useful. I think one thing that would be interesting and helpful is if typical characteristics of each node are summarized - e.g., does this node typically use metal or poly gates? SOG or CMP planarization? What lithography system is used? Is multiple patterning required? What wafer sizes are used? When I end up on these pages, that is the sort of information I'm looking for, and typically can't find.
