Untitled[edit]

I seem to remember stories that the ASG-17 was prone catastrophic failure due to grenades detonating either in the chamber or in the magazine. I don't think it was cooking off - I think it was either a failure to feed with the grenade being crushed between the breech and the chamber, or the recoil triggering fuses of rounds still in the magazine. I have no source, just a dusty memory of something I read years ago. Does this sound familar to anyone, and does anyone have a source that supports this? I heard something like this in a Guns & Ammo quiz, but that is hardly a reliable source. I've never heard anything similar from actual veterans of the Chechen wars. Maybe it's a myth, maybe just some isolated cases. 75.170.82.115 (talk) 20:29, 21 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
