Don't KSA (Saudi Arabia) armed forces also use the AK-103?[edit]

Untitled[edit]

What's this about the burst mode? Are you saying that the AK-103 design has the capability for future implementation of a 2 round burst mode, or that the AK-103 can fire in 2 round burst mode in its present form. The AK-103 has three modes like all Kalashnikov's; Safe, Semi, and Auto. --Skyler Streng 08:23, 27 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Never mind, my bad. I was thinking of the AN-94
umm just an fyi, settings are Safe, Auto, and Semi; order sequence, M16 is Safe, semi, and Burst(older models Auto)

Does that mean the other part of the "Design Differences" you added is invalid as well?

No, that part is still correct, AFAIKCynicalMe 19:36, 11 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Venezuela[edit]

I see its listed they received 30,000 of their 100,000 AK-103 order. However news reports are stating they still plan to buy 100,000 of them and this recent trip in July 2006 was to seal the deal and buy jets as well. Is this a seperate deal or continuation of the listed one? [1] --zero faults |sockpuppets| 20:43, 25 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

According to this article at RIA Novosti, dated August 2007, "the Urals-based Izhevsk Mechanical Plant (IMP) earlier fulfilled a contract to supply 100,000 AK-103 assault rifles to Venezuela, and signed a new contract licensing production of Kalashnikov rifles in the Latin American country". -Ashley Pomeroy (talk) 21:07, 3 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Stub?[edit]

I don't see this article as deserving a stub rating, I think the stub flag should be removed. Youssef51 11:11, 16 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned references in AK-103[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of AK-103's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "izhmash.ru":

  • From AK-47: [http://www.izhmash.ru/eng/product/akm.shtml "фициальный сайт группы предприятий "ИЖМАШ""]. Retrieved 2 October 2014. {{cite web}}: replacement character in |title= at position 1 (help)
  • From Comparison of the AK-47 and M16: AKM (AK-47) Kalashnikov modernized assault rifle, caliber 7.62mm. izhmash.ru

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 16:35, 21 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
