Splitting of page
The page is getting too long as it tries to encapsulate every and anything related to ASEAN. Strongly suggest splitting many of the sections into separate pages where it can develop itself further without detracting the main information on ASEAN. Yd85 (talk) 08:26, 30 December 2014 (UTC)

- Agreed, I propose the creation of a page "ASEAN Economic Community" with all content relating to ASEAN Integration 2015 and ASEAN ICT Master Plan 2015, along with the ASEAN Communication Master Plan which should be simplified and summarised, with the rest transferred to the new page.—Mentoroso (talk) 18:59, 5 January 2015 (UTC)
- Agree with Mentoroso's suggestion on the proposed creation of page on AEC, ASEAN ICT Master Plan 2015 and ASEAN Communication Master Plan - that will be a good start to cleaning up and making the ASEAN page more focused and readable. Yd85 (talk)
- May start working on this in the future. I also want to get the article to GA status at one point. What we need is more damn experienced contributors that can add quality and fix this article. Right now all we have is people copy-pasting huge walls of texts and making the article completely unstructured and chaotic.—Mentoroso (talk) 21:18, 9 January 2015 (UTC)

Possible conflict of interest: coal
On 2015-06-26 User:Hkrutka123 added a section entitled "Energy" to this article. The substance of the section was that the burning of coal was essential to ASEAN's development. As sources a coal industry publication and the discredited climate change denier Bjorn Lomberg were cited along with another article. This gives me reason to think that this editor may be acting on behalf of coal interests and, as such, is guilty of undeclared conflict of interest. I tried to amend the section to make it more balanced, but ended up removing the section entirely until such time as I can write a new, balanced section on Energy in ASEAN. FYI.
