request: links[edit]

Request edit

Hi, a few requests for linking in articles already mentioning AT5. If my searching was good, this should be a complete list of current mentions:

link AT5

 1. Destiny Fulfilled... and Lovin' It#Broadcasts and recordings channel AT5
 2. Henk Schiffmacher#Biography channel AT5
 3. Mido (footballer)#Personal life channel AT5
 4. Netherlands Public Broadcasting#Regional broadcasters * AT5 (Amsterdam)

Change link to AT5

 1. List of channels on CanalDigitaal#Channel sections #74 - change to AT5
 2. List of channels on CanalDigitaal#Channel sections #74 - change to AT5 Holding
 3. List of channels on UPC Netherlands#Channel sections #30 - change to AT5
 4. List of channels on UPC Netherlands#Channel sections #714 - change to AT5
 5. List of channels on UPC Netherlands#Channel sections #714 - change to AT5 Holding

(Note: there's also currently ~20 citations of www.at5.nl that could use updated formatting, but that is not part of this request.) Thanks! -- Eclipsed (talk) (COI Declaration) 14:08, 10 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Dank u wel! (Thank you very much, in Dutch) I'm working on the citation formatting now, but it may take a while. See User:Eclipsed/AT5 citations for the citations identified so far. I'm suggesting a format like this example[1]

References

 1. ^ "Dutch title". AT5 Nieuws (in Dutch). Amsterdam. January 1, 2012. Retrieved May 10, 2012. Dutch quotation here (English translation here) cite news: Unknown parameter |trans_title= ignored (|trans-title= suggested) (help)CS1 maint: unrecognized language (link)

That look OK? -- Eclipsed (talk) (COI Declaration) 18:36, 10 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, that looks perfect actually. Nice job. SilverserenC 21:37, 10 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Requested citation updates[edit]

Request edit

Hi folks. I've searched and tried to find all the current citations to AT5 news used in other articles here on Wikipedia. I've compiled a list of 20+ suggested improvements that include fuller citations with titles, quotes, and english translations:

Many thanks for independent eyeballs to review the proposed changes and to assist with updating articles if they are OK. Any comments/suggestions, just post here. Cheers. -- Eclipsed (talk) (COI Declaration) 14:59, 16 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I'm lazy. Could you sandbox a proposed version of the article? Woz2 (talk) 00:59, 19 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Laziness is good ;) [1][2][3][4]
In this case, there are requests for updates to citations on 19 different articles. Creating 19 new drafts might not be the best way, especially when the changes are only to references, not to any article content. I've tried to support laziness by linking directly to the specific citation in each article, including an easy-to-copy-paste updated citation format, and including multiple Reflist-talk's in the list to display how the references will look if accepted. And if there was a strong consensus here that it would be helpful for me to assist with the article updates, then I'd be very happy to do so.
Cheers -- Eclipsed (talk) (COI Declaration) 09:12, 19 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
As I look through those, you are just adding citations. You are totally free to add those yourself as it is not any form of a controversial content change. You do good work by the way. Ryan Vesey Review me! 16:01, 24 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I'll leave it for a while for others to review, then help out with the updates if needed. No rush ;) -- Eclipsed (talk) (COI Declaration) 18:02, 24 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
