Notability[edit]

I am concerned that this direct to video film has not received adequate coverage in reliable, independent, secondary sources so as to establish Wikipedia notability under the General Notability Guideline. It apparently did not see any reviews in major magazines, newspapers or much of elsewhere. The other way that a film can achieve notability is through the other evidence of notability for film guideline. Howver, none of those five criteria seems to apply to this film. --Bejnar (talk) 03:43, 20 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

RE: Notability (and reason for creating this article)[edit]

The reason why a lot of us do not know about this film is because this film is a Mexican co-production, and getting to the U.S. market with a Mexican animated film is very difficult, according to this article (in Spanish only): [1].

Plus, this film is also very rare and it must have lacked promotion, likely due to the same reason above.

The reason why I created the article in the first place was because I am a fan of the studio that created the film (Anima Estudios), so that´s how I got the film's attention. And plus, I thought the film was pretty good, especially if it was made in Mexico (Mexican animated films aren´t usually as good as American animation, but they are trying). The animation was okay, but the music was good. Compared to the studio´s previous productions, this was, in my opinion, one of their most creative projects.

Anyway, that was the reason why A Martian Christmas is not a very recognizable film, especially to Americans, because it´s hard for an animated Mexican production to enter the U.S. market. (WikiFanCreator2010 (talk) 22:18, 27 June 2014 (UTC))[reply]
