GA Review[edit]

Looks good so far. Just a few comments/suggestions:

  • Jay Sherman, was the main character on the show - no comma
    • Fixed.
  • The Critic was created by then-former Simpsons writers Al Jean and Mike Reiss - this statement doesn't make sense without the complete explanation below; maybe briefly explain that they had left the show but returned just for this episode
    • Done.
  • Spell out ABC on first mention
  • Just pedantics... Barney isn't linked in lead but is in plot; Marge in lead and plot; Homer in lead but not in plot. These are just a few examples, but what we're after is consistency.
    • Slightly fixed. Barney is still linked twice because he's not a main character and users may not be as familiar with him.
  • Homer is the tiebreaker vote - "Homer has"?
    • Fixed.
  • File:A Star is Burns.png and File:Barney's film.png aren't low resolution as they should be per the fair use criteria. Both rationales say "This image illustrates the text next to which it appears, which describes the scene portrayed" which isn't entirely true for the first image.
    • Done.
  • James L. Brooks cut a deal with Fox to have the series switch over - specify "Fox network" as it's not crystal clear in the context
    • Done.
  • The song the "Rappin' Rabbis" - briefly describe where it is heard in the episode as it's not mentioned elsewhere in the article
    • Done.
  • After unsuccessful attempts to get the show pulled - if he just wanted this episode pulled, would it be better to say "get the episode pulled" rather than having the whole series cancelled?
    • Fixed.
  • It's alright to italicise the show titles in Al Jean's controversy quote (it's not as if he actually spoke in quotation marks)
  • It's a fairly tacky bit of promotion, the kind generally beneath The Simpsons But it's also true - missing a full-stop/period
    • Fixed.
  • Pedantics again, but there should be a full-stop/period ending the captions of Groening and Jean's images, as they're complete sentences not fragments
    • Done.
  • Groening was absent from the episode's commentary for The Complete Sixth Season DVD - could you cite the DVD for this?
    • Done.

I'll put the GAN on hold, so you'll have a week to make any changes. Good work and good luck! —97198 (talk) 06:40, 19 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks a lot for the review! -- Scorpion0422 16:56, 19 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
No problemo! :) With the ABC thing, like Gary said, I live in Australia and when I hear ABC (as a TV network) I immediately think of our government-funded TV channel (which wouldn't show the Simpsons in a million years!). Everything looks good so I'll promote the article! —97198 (talk) 08:56, 20 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
