Changed intro and summary to identify this person primarily for his crime.[edit]

This individual has been convicted of a serious crime. Given the relatively brief and undistinguished political career of this person prior to his conviction - he was appointed to a state legislative office less than 2 years prior to the rape for which he became nationally known - it seems appropriate to identify this individual primarily as a criminal. (It would be odd, for example, to identify John Wayne Gacy as an American clown who was also convicted of multiple murders.) A former president, or even a state official with a substantial record in office, would merit first reference ID as a politician — I don’t think this person’s political contribution is of any identifiable substance. 2600:4040:5F04:D000:C426:726:CF1D:8E2 (talk) 02:11, 2 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
