Image[edit]

The article now has a commons category and an image, but although the image shows the environs of Abbess End, it does not show the main buildings in the hamlet itself. Therefore I have not removed the reqphoto template. Storye book (talk) 17:36, 12 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Move to Abbess Roding and redirect[edit]

Hi. When checking this page, i could not find any significant mentions anywhere. The current article is based upon a map (not enough to establish gng as per recent discussion), plus a historic england listing for Rookwood Hall which doesn't mention Abbess End (just Abbess Roding) and a BHO extract from s book on Essex with no mention of Abbess End, again just Roding. I cannot find any document online showing it is a legally recognised place as per WP:GEOLAND, and even a search on the local district council does not pick up End, just roding. A further search via books on google and a general search picks up zilch (other than usual listing fir businesses nearby). The only detail we have is a wikidata page about a roman road at Abbess Road, which itself states is not listed on the map (and I could not find any mention online). I propose to move the article to a section on Abbess Roding and redirect this page to there, as it does not meet GEOLAND Legally recognised place nor does it meet GNG. Yes I think we could merge with Abbess Roding, its pretty much part of the village of Abbess Roding and until that parish was abolished it was part of it. Its only legally recognized in the sense of being an OS settlement which may not pass GEOLAND. Normally we merge to parish but given it seems to be somewhat part of Abbess Roding village and was part of that parish it may be better to merge there.
