Content[edit]

This article is mainly about Breakspear. I think that is inappropriate for an article on the village itself.

Agreed. Breakspear should be mentioned and the detail included to the article on Hadrian IV. Similar point on Leavesden Film Studios. Also content on village needs structure and expansion. I've added a Wikify tag to note this and will add a "todo" list. Folks at 137 (talk) 23:01, 2 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Done The details at Pope Adrian IV were more comprehensive. The only detail worth transfer was about Bedmond Farm. Bazj (talk) 18:09, 21 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ollie Halsall[edit]

This man was very highly regarded by other musicians and his name should be better known. For some local colour, I'd love to add some of the text from John Halsey's sleeve notes on the "Abbot's Langley" album (but it may not be appropriate): "Hertfordshire, England 1980.... over to Abbots Langley I go.... He couldn't pay the mortgage or rates, the electricity had been cut off as well as the gas. He couldn't drive and had no phone. He had no money and was stealing food from shops and milk off people's door steps.... We retired to the pub to talk tactics. He was barred from the two others in the village - one for fighting and the other for urinating against the bar where he stood drinking his beer.... The one remaining establishment was run by an old lady with thick khaki stockings, slippers and a housecoat. Even though we were the only customers, she didn't seem very happy to see Ollie." Do you reckon that pub was 'The Boys Home'? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Frankieparley (talkcontribs) 15:39, 14 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
