Untitled[edit]

Academia Caţavencu have been long-time press freedom advocates. They maintain a "press monitoring agency", a watchdog against manipulation through mass-media.

That's NPOV? :))) How come there's no word about the fact that Sorin Marin (concessionaire of a large part of the Danube Delta, investigated in the Rompetrol case) has 49% of this newspaper... no mention of the fact that SOV had for a very long time 30% of it and there are rumors that he still controls it... and no mention that a company in the Catavencu group was awarded without an auction the control of adverstisting in TVR, and it received more money than the company that managed the ads until then? When it's about PSD you write in wiki all the unconfirmed rumors, but when its about the others... bah... Anonimu 17:40, 29 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

During the 2004 election campaign, Academia Caţavencu published as supplements two parody issues of Scânteia (the old-time Communist Party newspaper), containing reprints of articles written by important current day politicians during the Communist era.

Haha, priceless. - FrancisTyers 15:19, 9 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The worst of all was "Drepturile omului, un concept retrograd" ("Human Rights - A Retrograde Concept") by Adrian Năstase (back then the PM and Presidential candidate), published in a students' magazine. :-) 15:24, 9 May 2006 (UTC)

B-24-FUN[edit]

Is B-24-FUN really for "teenagers"? I've seen it; it looks like a pretty general guide to nightlife, etc. in Bucharest, maybe a bit more youth-oriented than Şapte Seri, but not necessarily with a target audiece that young. - Jmabel | Talk 21:26, 30 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Catavencu international.jpg[edit]

Image:Catavencu international.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
