We have a problem[edit]

We may need a disambiguation page or a page that takes a worldwide view. The exact same term is used by faculties at many universities and colleges in the United States. For example, the University of California, the California State University, and the California Community College systems all have systemwide Academic Senates as well as a separate Academic Senate for each campus. --Coolcaesar 07:16, 9 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Indeed, it's rather Anglocentric. Will attempt to sort it out. --Breadandcheese 22:55, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This article should be renamed Academic senate. I'm not allowed to do it. Nurg (talk) 04:50, 18 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

This article hardly touches the extent of Senates[edit]

I do not know where to begin on this. There are Senates in hundreds of universities. All universities in the UK and Australia, for example, have Senates, and I think it is the case in New Zealand and many other countries. How can we get this to be realistic? --Bduke (talk) 11:42, 29 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
