Oldest academy in America??[edit]

The lede of this article is difficult to justify, since the article says that the first class received B.A. and M.A. degrees, which are granted by colleges, not academies, and as for being the oldest college, hardly. Consider Harvard College, 1636, and The College of William & Mary, 1693, well before 1749. What do other editors think? --DThomsen8 (talk) 03:16, 24 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
